Motorola MC-9190G + Epicor Handheld Client

April 4, 2012

Trying to use Epicor Handheld on these nice Motorola handheld unit’s. When I logged in to the Epicor handheld client, the window was tiny (1/4 of the screen). This is because they have hard coded the size of the epicor client rather than using code to adjust to the current resolution from the remote desktop session (Epicor handheld client is run on a terminal server accessed from the device).

So I did some googling and found a fix via this blog.

Great! so all I need to do now is get the application provided and overwrite my native rdp client on the device…. *copy* *paste* *fail*. Windows Mobile 6.5 comes with a very deep security model… more googling… and bingo!

This link gives me a little app to run on the win mo device to change the security to single tier. then I can overwrite the rdp client in the /Windows directory and after a quick reboot Epicor looks great.
